Welcome back for another fun and exciting Season on the Slopes. Lots of exciting things happening and we can't wait to meet you on the hill to show you.
Many people contact me throughout the off season and ask for my opinion and advice on how to get their young athelete to the next level. These same people are also worried about upsetting there teams coach because they come to camp with me. Here's my take on this. When I was trying to get my son to the olympic trials, we trained with as many different coaches as we could. Why? Differnet persepectives, different coahing styles, different approaches etc. I feel that this creates a more rounded athelete. Another example is my daughter. After her 1st year racing FIS I took over her coaching completly. Wow was that tough, but the results started to come. At one point I was stuck trying to get a next level concept through to her. I sent her to France for a summer with another coach. We talked regularly and I was sent videos daily. At one point I noticed the idea I was trying to teach her was there in her skiing. I asked Mike, how did you get her to understand it. He told me and I was wow, I could never get her to grasp it. My point, sometimes you need a fresh perspective, sometimes you need a fresh approach, sometimes you need a fresh voice. So dont ever let a grumpy coach keep you from getting the best for your young athelete, and dont ever let your athlete potentially miss the coaching that would speak to them.
We are ready to begin our 24/25 season stronger than ever. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me personally to discuss your plans for the upcoming season.
Thank you - Coach Kenan
New 2024 early season camps are now open for booking.
“The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential, these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.” Confucius
I demand nothing but the best in my athletes and I strive to help them achieve it.
I am a former FIS athlete who raced from the age of 12 to 25. During that time I was able to get to the top 25 ranking in speed in Canada. I am also a former Snowcross racer who raced professionally for Polaris on the national circuit from 2002-2005.
After my racing years I decided to become a USSS certified coach in 2016. I am certified in Alpine Chief of Race, Alpine Official, Alpine Referee, USSS Timing and Calculation, and USSS Administrator.
I pride myself on being someone who is always willing to listen and learn, who stays current by being in touch with and learning from the ski industry leaders. With skiing always being modified its important that you find a coach that stays up to date and continuously educated themselves on current skiing theories and race day tactics.
